The best way to pick out a domain name is to get it as close to the name of your business as possible. Choose a name that truly reflects what your voice actor website is all about.

What if you cannot get the domain name of your choosing? Try something a little different, but similar. Some names that are available are priced higher than usual because a majority of people want it. Say you are selling toys. The best name for that would be Toys.com. Even if it was available, it would cost a hefty amount.

Generally, you can pick up a domain for anywhere between about $9.00 to $15.00 per year.

Domain names are limited to 67 characters. However, shorter names are easier to remember. However, if you can combine your site keywords somehow in your domain name, long or short, that would be beneficial in getting picked up by search engines. Example: BuyCoffeepots.com (lots of people probably would put "buy coffeepot" into the search if they are looking for one. )
